First off, I’m sorry I’ve been slacking on Monday reviews. I have however read two entire series.
Travis Family, Lisa Kleypas:
Sugar Daddy: Rating: Steam:
I think the important question is, what didn’t I like? Who doesn’t like love stories about a single mother(or guardian, in this case.) down on her luck? It is however a little vexing to have two men the character is unsure of. I just adored this book, though… it has depth of character and story, it’s never dull, and the HEA is just amazing. ^_^ I would recommend this book to everyone, even if they don’t like romance.
Blue-Eyed Devil: Rating: Steam:
This book was way more intense than the first book. Haven escaped an abusive marriage and as a result is an incredibly strong heroine and Hardy just had a rough life before he met her, making equally strong, if not more so. The depth of story and character is astonishing, the character and relationship growth in this are just fantastic, but I didn’t expect any less from Lisa Kleypas, and their relationship is a beautiful thing, though it did get off to a rough start. I had hoped after Sugar Daddy that Hardy would get his own book and find someone wonderful to love him and here it is!
Smooth Talking Stranger: Rating: Steam:
I adored this book, I could 100% understand and identify with Ella… I felt as though I was losing a very good friend when I was finished reading. Ella and Jack were just such amazing characters, he had more depth than you’d think a millionaire playboy would have and even though I couldn’t really understand him all that well, it was pretty fun reading about him and all the nice things he did for Ella and Luke. I kind of wish this had been a little longer, but that’s just because I enjoyed it so much.
